Established in 1994, The Flying Handbag is Blackpool’s only purpose-built LGBTQ+ venue.  Undergoing a full internal and external refurbishment in 2020, the Flying Handbag is a premium venue with modern décor. From daytime tipples to night-time entertainment, there is always something going on at the Handbag. Our resident DJ’s will be spinning the tunes and our very own drag queens Miss Amber and Pudsley will be bringing the banter week nightly.

We are proud to serve a great variety of food and drink options which run all day, so be sure to check out our food and drink menus. Our doors are just a stone’s throw away from Blackpool North train station, making us the perfect location to kick start your day or night out in Blackpool.

We not only welcome all walks of life, we celebrate them. We are proud to fly the flag for the LGBTQ+ community and offer a safe space for all.
